Online Pilates Classes

          Health and Safety Guidelines

 

1:1Studio Pilates classes

Please book and pay online. All participants are to complete the online waiver prior to their first class. Once this is completed I'll send over a Zoom link for your class.

Before you book, please see what you require below. It is useful to advise me what equipment you have at home prior to the class starting.

TO ACCESS THE ONLINE CLASSES YOU WILL NEED

1. Access to Zoom (make sure its downloaded before your class), with Sound and video switched on. After booking I will send you a link and time for you to access the class with me.

2. Ensure your electronic device is fully charged as your class will run for 45 minutes.

3. Be in an area with good internet connection to receive a video call without interruptions. If the internet connection is insufficient, we will need to re-schedule your class.

4. Have a space with your mat and/or reformer and any equipment ready 5 minutes before your class. A side view of you on your mat with space to make a starfish shape is ideal. Your mat usually needs to be about 1.8m away from your device.

5. Clink the link sent to you at the schedule time to access your class via Zoom.

6. Its a good idea to have a few props to help hold up and position your phone, iPad or laptop so I can see you.

1. For Studio Pilates classes, please ensure that you arrive to class on time and no more than 5 minutes early and bring a large, clean towel with you. Advise us of any changes to your health at the start of each class.They are currently 1:1 and will return to 2:1 once safe to do so.

2. Be sure that you check with your GP or Health Professional before you start any new exercise regime and bring a letter to confirm you are cleared to exercise if you have any known health issues made worse by exercise or if you haven't exercised in a while.

 

3. You will be required to complete a health questionnaire prior to your first class, so please complete the New Client Form so I can call you to complete this prior to our first meeting.

 

 

 

1. 1:1 Pilates for over 60's classes are only available to those 60 Years or older. They are currently 1:1 and will return to 2:1 once safe to do so.

2. It is strongly recommended that you check with your GP or Health Professional before you start any new exercise regime and bring a letter to confirm you are cleared to exercise if you have any known health issues made worse by exercise or if you haven't exercised in a while.

 

3. You will be required to complete a health questionnaire prior to your first class, so please complete the New Client Form so I can call you to complete this prior to our first meeting.

 

1. All classes are by appointment only and we require all classes to be booked and paid for in advance, as spaces are limited.

 

2. All sales are final and there is a no refund policy, except in rare exceptions and at Managements discretion. 

 

3. Classes are to be booked and paid for online. You will be redirected to our schedule and pricing page at Acuity Scheduling. This will then prompt you to select a class and process your details via SQUARE or Paypal payment processing which are both PCI complaint. Once booked you will receive a welcome email and the exact studio location in Frankston South. We are close to Baden Powell Drive and Sweetwater Creek.

4. Before commencing your first class, you will be required to complete an online waiver and health questionnaire. If you have any health concerns it is strongly advised to visit your GP for medical clearance prior to attending the class.

5. We reserve the right to alter the schedule and pricing at any time.

 

1. Casual class purchases must be used on the day that they are booked for. If you need to cancel, see below cancellation policy and if this is adhered to, you will have 30 days to use your casual class.

2. 5 Class packs are to be used within 3 months (90 days) of your first use of the pack.

3. Class packs cannot be refunded, transferred, suspended or extended unless in rare circumstances and at the discretion of Management.

 

* Please note that in light of current ongoing events from the 12.3.20- 31.12.20 there will be no loss of class credit if you need to cancel late due to feeling the slightest bit unwell or any other unforeseen circumstances. We would like you to stay at home if you feel unwell in any way or have any symptoms of COVID 19, have been asked to stay at home, been in close contact with a suspected case or living with a diagnosed person, as the health and wellbeing of us all all is my main priority.

If you can, please still contact us via email or telephone prior to your class to let us know you won't be attending.

 

1.  Time is precious and this is a small business. We have a strict 12 hour cancellation poIicy for all classes. To be fair to all clients, any late cancellations or unattended booked sessions will be charged at the full class rate or a loss of a class credit.

 

2. Cancellations/rescheduling can be made via the bookamat.co booking system. They must be made within the time frame above. For any technical issues, please contact me via email.

1. You assume full responsibility and risk of loss resulting from your downloading and/or use of files, information, other communications, content or other material (including, but not limited to, software or malware) accessed through or obtained by means of our website and social media sites.

 

2. The opinions and/or views expressed on our social media platforms, including, but not limited to, any blogs, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube pages, represent the our personal thoughts, thoughts of individual bloggers and online communities.

3. All links to other sites found linked from our social media sites are provided only as a service to users. Such linkage does not constitute endorsement by Pilates By Charlotte of those sites, or of any information, product or service depicted on those sites. We are not responsible for the content of external sites.

4. Whilst every care has been taken in preparing the posts and comments on its social media sites, we accept no responsibility for decisions or actions taken as a result of any data, information, statement or advice, expressed or implied, contained within. To the best of our knowledge, the content was correct at the time of publishing. 

5. When contributing, do not post any material that contains:

  • hate speech

  • profanity, obscenity or vulgarity

  • comments that could be considered prejudicial, racist or inflammatory

  • nudity or offensive imagery (including, but not limited to, in profile pictures)

  • defamation to a person or people

  • name calling and/or personal attacks

  • comments whose main purpose are commercial in nature and/or to sell a product

  • comments that infringe on copyright or another person’s intellectual property

  • spam comments from individuals or groups, such as the same comment posted repeatedly on a profile

  • personal information about you or another individual (including identifying information, email addresses, phone numbers or private addresses)

  • false representation of another individual, organisation, government or entity

  • promotion of a product, business, company or organisation

 

6. We retain the right to remove any content that does not comply with these guidelines or we deem inappropriate.

Repeated violations may cause the author to be blocked from our social media channels.

Pilates By Charlotte is committed to providing a safe studio environment for all of us. This information is subject to change in accordance with the most up-to-date government recommendations relating to COVID-19.

 

  • The timetable is spaced, allowing 15-minute intervals between all classes as per government mandate to enable for the cleaning of any items that were touched during a class. All straps and cushions have been covered in vinyl so that they can be easily cleaned.

 

  • Initially there will be no more than 1 client allowed into the studio at any one time to allow for physical distancing. You are encouraged to arrive on time and must leave immediately after your class.

  • You will be asked on entry to the studio to confirm that you are not experiencing any symptoms of COVID 19. If you are, you will be asked to go home and seek medical advise.

  • Each person must bring a large, clean towel to each class to cover their mat and/or equipment. Also bring your face mask, socks and your own water to drink if required.

 

  • All payments are to be made online through the Pilates By Charlotte website via Acity Scheduler.

 

  • Alcohol based hand sanitiser is provided on entry to the studio. On entry and exit to the studio all persons must sanitise their hands.

 

  • Posters with hand washing instructions are prominent in the toilet and hand washing facilities are available in the bathroom.

 

  • Clients and instructors are asked not to attend if you are feeling unwell or exhibit any symptoms, however mild of COVID-19 such as; fever, chills or sweats, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose, loss of sense of smell. You are advised to stay home and call the National Coronavirus Hotline on 1800 020 080. This means there may unfortunately be late cancellations to the class schedule in the interest of health and safety. I will endeavour to provide as much notice as possible.

  • If you have tested positive to coronavirus (COVID-19), are living with a diagnosed person, are waiting on COVID test results or have had close contact with a person who is confirmed to have the virus, you must stay at home and not attend the studio in person.

 

  • Physical distancing is to be adhered to whilst in the studio. Please observe 1.5 metres social distancing from other clients and the instructors. 

 

  • The door will be open to allow for air flow. I will continue to heat the studio if required. 

 

  • High touch areas will be cleaned after each class.

 

  • Accurate record keeping of every client who attends the studio and their contact details will be maintained, to enable quick and effective contact tracing process in the event it is required.

 

  • A full clean of the studio including floors and the bathroom will be undertaken at the end of each day.​

  • Everyone is encouraged to try not to touch their eyes, nose or mouth and follow cough etiquette.

General Health and Safety Guidelines

1. My classes are not clinical or for rehabilitation and I reserve the right to turn a client away from a class, request medical clearance before beginning a class and in some cases suggest that you seek Clinical Pilates/Rehabilitation classes with an Allied Health Professional. I care about your wellbeing, health and safety.

 

2. Although small my online classes or any short courses are not suitable for pre natal clients or those less than 12 weeks Post Natal. 

3. Pre natal clients require written medical clearance letter by a GP or Obstetrician which must be bought to your first Studio Pilates Class. You are responsible for informing us of any changes to your health during this time.

4. Post natal clients must wait until they have their 6 week check for medical clearance and for at least 12 weeks after a Caesarean birth before commencing any classes. 

5. Our classes are only suitable for those aged 16 Years and older for safety reasons. Other than those 16 Years or older that are booked into a class with an adult, no other children are permitted in the studio for Studio or Pilates for over 60's classes, at any other time. We do have 1:1 Online Pilates classes that you can participate in from the comfort of your home.

6. It is your responsibility to inform us of any changes to health or conditions by completing another information release and informed consent form.

 

7. Always listen to you body. Work at your own pace in classes, slowly at first and advise the instructor of anything that makes you feel uncomfortable during the session.

8. Socks must be worn during all classes and please don't wear clothing with zips, as it damages the upholstery.

9. By signing up online you must agree with the terms and conditions set out here, you promise that:

- You will complete the online waiver prior to your first class commencing.
- You are in good physical condition.
- You know of no medical or other reason why you cannot or should not do active or passive exercise.

 

10. You must not photograph or record other users in the studio without their express consent.

 

Liability

1. I cannot be held responsible for damaged, lost or stolen personal belongings whilst in the studio.

 

2. WARNING UNDER THE AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW AND FAIR TRADING ACT 2012 Under the Australian Consumer Law (Victoria), several statutory guarantees apply to the supply of certain goods and services. These guarantees mean that Pilates By Charlotte is required to ensure that the recreational services it supplies to you- (a) are rendered with due care and skill; and (b) are reasonably fit for any purpose which you, either expressly or by implication, make known to us; and (c) might reasonably be expected to achieve any result you have made known to us. Under section 22 of the Australian Consumer Law and Fair Trading Act 2012 (Vic), Pilates By Charlotte is entitled to ask you to agree that these statutory guarantees do not apply to you. If you accept this form, you will be agreeing that your rights to sue us under the Australian Consumer Law and Fair Trading Act 2012 if you are killed or injured because the services provided were not in accordance with these guarantees are excluded, restricted or modified in the way set out in this form. NOTE: The change to your rights, as set out in these Terms, does not apply if your death or injury is due to gross negligence on Pilates By Charlotte’s part. Gross negligence, in relation to an act or omission, means doing the act or omitting to do an act with reckless disregard, with or without consciousness, for the consequences of the act or omission. See regulation 5 of the Australian Consumer Law and Fair Trading Regulations 2012 and section 22(3)(b) of the Australian Consumer Law and Fair Trading Act 2012.

  

You accept that your use of the facilities provided by Pilates By Charlotte is at your own risk and you acknowledge that the use of the facilities may involve risk or injury whether caused by you or another party. By accepting these Terms and Conditions you agree that Pilates By Charlotte will not be liable for any personal injury suffered on their premises, or from using our facilities or equipment, unless due to the gross negligence of Pilates By Charlotte

4 Weeks Group Pilates

1. Our short courses are not suitable for during pregnancy or for those with injuries or pre-existing conditions. By signing up online you promise that you are in good health to participate in the classes. See all other Terms and Conditions.

2. All sales are final and there are no refunds or transfer of classes during your course, except in exceptional circumstances and at the discretion of Pilates By Charlotte.

3. You will be sent a link to access your weekly class once you have paid $70. This class will run once a week at the same time each week for four weeks.

4. Each class is run via zoom and runs for 40 minutes.

5. You will need good internet connection, access to Zoom, a full length foam roller, Mat, cushion and room to make star shape on your mat. We recommend your device is around 1.8m from your mat, so I can see the whole of your mat when you are lying on it.

6. You will be supported and guided throughout your group class, however we always recommend that you listen to your own body and stop if you need to.
